There’s something about Woogsie

Once you’ve become a Mother I think the cheekiest time of all to be away from your child/children are the hours of 4pm to 8pm. Given the chance, I would choose those hours, over all the other hours, every single time. No homework. No feralness. No dinner. No bath. No picking anything up from anywhere for anyone. Whenever I get the chance to have those precious hours to myself, I make sure I look at my watch and calculate all the things I’m not doing.

Yesterday, I arrived at Mrs Woog’s house at 4.30pm. We had some champers. We had a chat. We danced. We nattered. We laughed. And at 7pm we headed out to dinner.

It was very good indeed.

If nothing was ever else to come out of this blogging caper, it wouldn’t matter. I’ve got mates, for life, that make me so happy that it goes all the way from my inner insides right through to my outsides.

And that? Is very good indeed.

  1. It’s the best isn’t it. The friendships and the occasional escape.

  2. How cute is Jack?
Awesome photos Beth. I love how you always take shots that capture a moment, but leave you wanting to know more & see more – I was once told that that’s what a great photographer does 🙂 And you’ve nailed it :)))
I know I’m gonna sound like a looser but I’d love to be a fly on the wall at your bloggy catchups with these ladies. You, Mrs Woog & Eden are some of my fave bloggy-gals. All 3 of you inspire me in one way or another.
The bloggy-world is an amazing place I will admit that.
    Happy weekending.

  19. My husband read that over my shoulder and said ‘not a chance’. We’ve got a rule to stick together between 5 and 7pm. Safety in numbers.
Now where did Mrs W get that divine rug?

  20. “No picking anything up from anywhere for anyone”. AMEN!
