Comfort food GG style

You all know Ruth from Gourmet Girlfriend right? Phew. She’s awesome AND at the last Digital Parents Conference someone asked me if she was my Mum which was even better. I now call her Mum. But she’s not really. I WISH I was one of her kids!

When she heard my plans for a day of slow cooking she quickly messaged me on Facebook for any assistance – she’s like that, handy – and promptly lead me to the direction of her ricotta gnocchi to go with my beef bourguignon/red wine casserole goodness thingy that I had whipped up.

BANG!

It did not disappoint. Although mine were not pretty, given that I whipped them up VERY quickly, they were amazing. Perfect accompaniment for the beef. Parfait!

Make them this week. Go on now. Off you go. Instant funk lifter!

Between you & GG, I am constantly drueling in desperate hunger. Everytime I see a recipe blog post or food instagram from either of you, I’m left craving & starving 🙂
You two should bring out a co-recipe book. YUM!!

  10. Your post inspired me to do some serious cooking and baking today Beth! I’m making a beef and red wine casserole in the slow cooker, there is a loaf of continental bread baking in my breadmaker, caramel bikkies came out of the oven a little while ago and some cheese and bacon puff pastry parcels are up next.

  11. How lovely! I am a BIG gnocchi fan, but have always been too scared to try it, for fear of failure!
Thanks for sharing this recipe ladies xo
