Hydrangea

Of all the old time flowers that a garden can grow, I think these are my favourite. So simple. So pretty. And at the very end of the season, all the shades of white to blue and the most beautiful, perfect green. I’ve just filled the house with little bottles of them. A simple joy to behold.

  2. hydrangeas AND cyclamens = awesome.

  3. They look lovely. Was after a bunch of blue ones myself this morming, but couldnt justify forking over $25 for 3 small white ones (all they had) at my local florist in Edgecliff. Jealous much. Yes! 🙂

  8. they are my favourites, especially the green x

  9. Gorgeous. The horrible hot summer we’ve been having in Perth has burnt my two attempts rather badly. They were doing ok with daily hand watering but suffered sadly when we went away for a few days. So I will enjoy the photos of yours instead 🙂

  10. Love them too, just simple and stunning x

  11. Favourites for me too. We have a pink bush and right now the flowers are a lovely copper and green. x

  12. I love them when they come out that deep purple… someone told me the colour of the flowers depends on what is in the soil…

  13. I love hydrangeas, my Grandmother used to grow some in one particular shady and moist spot right next to her house. QLD is a bit hot to grow them generally. Whenever I see them I think of her. We went to Brittany for a wedding a few years ago and the place was covered in them in August, it made my trip. They even call part of it the Hydrangea Coast.

  14. I love hydrangeas. We have a purpley-blue one out the front of my house and it is the most beautiful thing out. Just glorious.

  15. Oh I love them too lady. So pretty and the colours are just perfect. So lucky to have them growing in abundance, no wonder you’ve got vases full of them xo
