Hi Beth, well what a lovely little VLOG! Perfect timing for me to come over (finally)and say hi. I may well be your newest, latest, newbie follower so I look forward to reading more in the future. My girls (4 and 1) have been sooo excited, well the 4 year old anyways…and I love how their Christmas spirit reflects on to me as well;)
Yeah to the spirit!! Can so relate to the holiday shouting…so far not so bad but Im tense :/
Yay! Want to come and hug you right now. I promise…. I will get the spirit in a moment, and thou shall be named gin xx
Beth that is ‘PUZACTLY’ what I needed to see tonight.
My Christmas spirit seems to have left the building and I’m looking for it everywhere. In fact, at this very moment I’m bunkered down in bed with the laptop watching A Christmas Story in the hope it will ignite some Christmas cheer.
But you’re bang on. Don’t sweat the small stuff, just enjoy the day and remember what it’s really about. And lets be honest…..there ain’t nothing wrong with a day that starts with champers! Now theres something to look forward to.
You my friend, I can call you my friend right? You make me laugh. Out loud. A lot. And I like it. I wish you and your beautiful girls (and Rob of course) a very happy Christmas! Enjoy that gravy and duck fat potatoes girl! (I’m jealous!)
I always shout at my kids to stop shouting too … what’s up with that??Men, beer, steak and playstation – at least its not at your house!
Love that you have been hit with Christmas spirit – Enjoy.
Can relate to the shouting. Hope it stops soon, for us both. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family. You are looking so fab by the way. x
Love it!! Just what I needed after my day of feeling spirit-deprived! Xx
Best Babymac vlog to date. Espesh the mood lighting. Love it. Merry Christmas Betty x
I love your blog Beth and remember the 2′s and 4 year olds very well. I’m on holidays this week and re-painting a room and after 27 years I have seen the light and realise white on white is the best colour to compliment my rustic furniture. Even the 17year old daughter agrees! I am loving the vibe in the house… hearing little conversations about the best Christmas gift for her loved ones..and yes mum and dad get a mention as well as the boyfriend. And our older boys…I made a point to mention to the 22 yo that I have laybyed a hall seat at a local second hand store and if he is stuck for inspiration I am happy for him pop down to the store, I’ll let you know if I am sitting pretty this Christmas.
thats fabulous. feeling ever so festive after seeing your vlog! cheers for all the awesome writing, gorgeous design links and laughs in 2011. Looking forward to reading lots more in 2012, so good work on not signing off PS funnily enough I also caught the christmas spirit today whilst having a coffee with my two year old, at precisely the moment our local cafe owner handed her a pair of reindeer ears… and that is exactly how she enjoyed her babyccino, as you do, like a lady at the table wearing reindeer ears.
It is impossible for me to love you more.
(PS I totally got the christmas spirit too! Feels good, man. )
Thanks for sharing the spirit -you put a big smile on my face. I needed that and now following your cue am off to pour a wine – here’s to that spirit!
Love it.Love the fringe foofingLove the candle light and ‘fireside chat’Love the dangly earringsLove that you too are a shouty mouth Mum (go us! Nutters)Love that you found the spirit.
Have a wonderful Christmas
Loved the vlog! Ive found the Christmas spirit too – its hard not to feel the excitement with a 4 year old in the house!Merry Christmas to you & your beautiful family Xx
Oh Beth, I was sooo hoping you would do a vlog before Christmas! Love it, you’re the coolest
I was up til 3am wrapping the last of the presents, so aside from the need for a nap (was up at 6), I am totally feeling the Christmas spirit too! Helps that I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old, we are in those prime Christmas-is-magical years too.
And I’m another mum who yells at the kids to stop yelling at each other. My oldest starts her Christmas hols at lunch time today (we’re in the States, so only 2 weeks off for Chrissy), so I’m sure there’ll be yelling in our house sometime this arvo, ha!
Wishing you & your family a beautiful Christmas.
If “professional vlogger” were an actual career, you would own that shit.
I’ve got the spirit. I listened to some carols, watched some Christmas movies, put up the tree, wrapped all my presents… always helps me feel all Christmassy.
Have a great Christmas, Beth xxx
Merry Christmas to you and your family. I have been distracted by all the stuff I have to do and forgot all about the Christmas spirit. Time to take a breath sit back and enjoy the festivities. Thanks for reminding me that Christmas is fun.
Happy Christmas! We are pumped in this house too! Thanks for the journey this year. Its been fun!
thankyou thankyou thankyou I soooo needed that – I shall venture forth now and be open to receiving the festive spirit should it decide to venture into my path.
you rock my world miss beth and wish you, rob and your lovely little girls a great xmas.
We here in the ‘berra are feeling your pain about the weather too. Hello? Summer? Where are you?
We have a bit of the xmas spirit now that school is finished and I can relax a bit. Mind you, in trying to pump some xmas spirit into the girls by the way of xmas fairies (sparklers in the trees, so santa can watch and look for good girls) I burnt myself. Good start. But the girls loved it. Well, 6 y.o did, 2 y.o doesn’t quite get it yet. She is still in full on tantrum mode most of the time, so the xmas fairies will be telling santa LOTS. Mind you, she has moments of cuteness when she calls the xmas tree a ‘princess tree’ and I am loathe to correct her, because it’s just too cute.
BethI meant to say last night….
THANK YOU for being such an awesome lady and for sharing so much with us through your blog. You’re my first stop every day and you always bring light and laughter with a sprinkling of home envy thrown in for good measure!
Merry Christmas to you, Rob and the girls. I’m sure it’ll be a magical day filled with bucket loads of delish food and wine.
Feeling Christmassy and looking DAMN fine, too! You are looking great, Beth!
Happy Christmas to you and your lovely family! I love the hallway holly – that shit pleases me to no end too!
Aww so much love all around, I do love this year and the spirit especially the freaking Saint Nic spirit : )
You are fab – what a lovely vlog!
I haven’t been touched yet, hope the spirit hurries up already…
Wishing you and your family a happy christmas!
I am Beth. Just Beth. Although as I have moved to the country I am considering changing my name to Bev. Because I’ll be making jam. And stuff. But I guess that’s fast forwarding a little. As Coldplay said, let’s go back to the start.. More about me.
