Fresh pickings

I’m not sure I am ever going to tire of going out into the garden and picking some flowers for a table or somewhere inside. These, these are my very first roses of the season that I picked before the rain came yesterday afternoon as well as some cat mint which I find so pretty when it’s in flower.

The iceberg roses in my Grandmother’s vase just make me love it all the more…

We had cat mint in Calgary – well actually I thought we had cat nip in Calgary. Thank you for teaching me the correct name!

Jealous. I am living vicariously through your garden’s pickings. Mine is so dry there are just no flowers.

Beautiful, I love your roses as much as I love picking my own, they make up for the fact that otherwise I am pretty challenged when it comes to growing things!

There is something so beautifully olde worlde about those photos Lady. You clever thing, growing your very own blooms like that. The kind money just can’t buy :o) xo
