It’s wonderful

My kids woke up this morning at 5.15. They have done this for the past 2 weeks or so and I’m kind of getting used to it. OK, not really. See now it’s 2 hours later and I feel like we should be at 11am and it’s 7 freaking 15 am. When do the clocks spring forward?

We had a lovely weekend. Filled with family and friends and sunshine and not much sleep. This morning I was trawling through my blog this time last year and stumbles across this post which I wrote almost one year ago today. Wow. Just wow. We’ve come a long way baby…

Call me a cheesy MOFO but this song just sprang to mind over the weekend. Things…life…it’s good. So good. I feel lucky and blessed and grateful beyond words. I love this song, I walked down the aisle to it at my wedding and right now, well, it’s just about how I feel. Cheesy and all.

: I see trees of green, red roses too
: I see them bloom for me and you
: And I think to myself what a wonderful world

: I see skies of blue and clouds of white
: The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
: And I think to myself what a wonderful world

And if that’s song too cheesy, you could always try this one. It works too. Chips! Chips!

Ugh Beth – I need your life. Your girls are beautiful xxx Savour it, soak it up and don’t apologise for the cheese. Cheese away if you want to sing it from the rooftops.

  • LionessLady

You know Beth – you could charge an absolute fortune for all of us bloggy types to come sit on your porch in front of that fire with a glass of wine! How perfect!

  • Loz

Love it, love it all! You have my ultimate dream garden. Need a lodger??!! Beautiful post :)

    You are, indeed, blessed. x

  • Posie Patchwork

Sounds all round delicious, the company, the lifestyle change & those sweet girls. Love your choice of wedding music, i was NOT walking down to ‘here comes the bride’ either. We finished on “Always look on the bright side of life” a nod to my Monty Python mad big brothers. Love Posie

Ohhhh beautiful, BEAUTIFUL pics lady. I especially love the one of Harper drinking the bottle by the fire, with the other lovely ladies. Such a glorious scene. No wonder you had that song playing in your head, a wonderful world indeed xo

  • picklebug

Your house is amazing! What a wonderful life. Thanks for those lovely pics of good old Aussie-ness as I’m sitting in a hotel room in China. It makes me want to get home and spruce my place up! Unfortunately Ii have only been here 3 nights and have another 2 weeks left. Not complaining though, I love it here! Hope you’re having some nice warm weather down there!

Hi Beth, I am a new follower of yours and thought I should make my first comment! If it makes you feel any better my day starts at 4.45am when the twins start to wake up. They are 6 months old and by the way one of the girls is called Harper :) It is currently 6.15am and Ive already had breakfast, done a load of washing and cleaned the kitchen! My 3 year old wakes up at 7am which is completely manageable but the twins waking at 4.45am is crazy! I end up going to bed at 8.30pm exhausted and feeling like a nanna.

  • Cherie @ ‘a baby called Max’

    Beth, I love this!

You take the most amazing photos that tell the most beautiful stories.

  • Amelia {Weddings, Babies… Everything}

Wonderful indeed!! And I LOVE both those songs. :)
You’ve certainly come a long way. xx
