Cool Rider

Sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands. If the sleep won’t come to me. I will go to it. In the car.

I spent an hour driving around aimlessly while both children slept. At least on this very hot day it was cool. And quiet.

Here’s to a better afternoon for all Macdonald’s. And a good weekend to you!
And as an aside, has anyone seen my baby? Look at this gal! What is she 6 all of a sudden? She is soooooo big now and no signs of little girl. At all. Sigh….

I did that when my kids were younger- one day I drove almost all the way to the blue mountains. Desperate times!

Oh, the drive in search of sleep – remember it well. Could’ve been a sydney taxi driver considering how well I knew those streets in my gal’s early days!

Thank God! I have only just found your blog and I love it! I thought I was the only Mum who drove – I swear I put thousands of kms on my car because of our darling – not keen on sleeping – daughter. She isn’t too bad now (she’s 3 born in Oct ’06) but she gave up a day sleep at 1 1/2 so sometimes if she is really tired during the day I still drive but I think I drove every night for the first two years . x

Guilty of the rock-to-sleep drive over here too! Ahhh, the things we do for some peace and quiet huh?

Another drive-to-sleeper here. Always good if I could find a drive-thru coffee and a quiet place to stop and listen to the radio once they are in a deep sleep…
